Now that fall has officially arrived in Illinois, it’s time to start filling those fall bucket lists, and I just discovered a unique family adventure that looks like it belongs at the very top of yours.

My favorite season of the year is finally here, and I am STOKED!

As I was scrolling through social media recently, I came across this video that immediately stopped me in my tracks:

What exactly is Enchanted Adventure, and how do I get there?

'Enchanted Adventure' at The Forge

The Forge: Lemont Quarries  is an adventure park in Lemont, Illinois, featuring ziplining, gem panning, mini golf, paddle sports, biking... basically fun for all ages in all seasons, but this fall it's transforming into a magical pumpkin experience.

A Glowing Pumpkin Adventure in Illinois

Enchanted Adventure isn't your typical pumpkin patch where you walk around, take a few pictures and go home with a pumpkin. It's a half-mile, illuminated trail filled with thousands of intricately carved pumpkins, creative displays, and other "mischievous" fun.

Enchanted Adventure features three themed worlds: Monsters, Magic, and Mischief, where you'll see awesome things like a giant glowing kraken, a Pumpkin Stonehenge, and even pumpkin catapults!

For young adventurers, there is a 'Creepy Crawly Kid Zone' and 'Boos Bounces', and families can play an 18-hole Graveyard Mini Golf course complete with tombstones, fog and other surprises.

Enchanted Adventure FAQs

Enchanted Adventure opens Friday, September 25 starting at 7 p.m. and will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights until November 1.

The trail takes about an hour to walk through, is ADA accessible, and stroller and wagon friendly. Enchanted Adventure is also family friendly, so you don't have to worry about any scary things jumping out at you along the trail. (Thank goodness!)

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
