Another sign of the new norm is upon us as PEAK shared the plans in place to reopen their locations in Rockford and Loves Park. There will be new protocols in place to follow state regulations and recommendations but it shouldn't interfere with your workout too much. You will need to bring your own mat, towel, and water container. Also, there's a note on masks as far as entering and exiting their facilities but wearing one while working out is only recommended, not required. These are just a few of the changes beginning June 26, PEAK's projected reopening date.

It is recommended to wear a mask as you enter and leave the club, and consider wearing a face covering while exercising.

For cardio, every other machine will be marked off to follow 6' social distancing. The free weight area will follow suit by equipment being spaced. Spots will be marked on the floor for group fitness and classes will be staggered. Basketball courts will be open but only for single player use and you must bring your own basketball. The lap pool will be open with restrictions as will lockerroom. The Kids Zone will remain closed for now. All equipment, machines, and high-touch surfaces and spaces will be continuously cleaned. The staff will be trained to effectively disinfect the facilities.

PEAK will not bill members for the months their facilities are closed and some members will have their membership extended.

We would like reassure that all members will not be billed during any months that Peak Sports Club and Peak Fitness is closed. For paid in full members, the amount time our facilities are closed will be added on to the end of your membership term.

You can find their in-depth detailed reopening "playbook" here.
