Well here's a bit of good news. Walgreen's new office in Chicago is expected to bring 2,000 jobs in 2019.

The former Chicago Post Office on West Van Buren in the heart of the city is being transformed into the newest location for Walgreens.(NBC Chicago)

Officials shared with NBC Chicago that the new office for the drug store giant is expected to open in the fall of 2019.

This building will "host [their] digital and IT operations employees as well as some Walgreens Boots Alliance global IT personnel in the new space."

Walgreens President Alex Gourlay said that this move to the old post office "allows us to attract and retain the best talent from all of Chicagoland.”  Plus, they're “investing in our infrastructure and building our digital and technical capabilities are essential elements of our business transformation strategy, as we work to improve access for our customers and enhance the customer experience.”

Well if you're digitally inclined, are or will be a computer science college graduate, I'd be watching this very closely to get your resume into Walgreens.
