Favorite Christmas Movies

Do you love watching Christmas movies every holiday season?

By Christmas movies I don't mean popular crowd pleasers like Elf or National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, I'm talking about cheesy holiday rom-coms you can binge watch 24/7 on the Hallmark Channel/Lifetime/Great American Family.

If a perfect December (or even November) day means laying around in Christmas jammies watching holiday movies snuggled under a blanket by your tree, then I found another movie to add to this year's must-watch list.

New Holiday Movie Filmed in Woodstock, Illinois

Movie buffs, and non-movie buffs alike have probably heard of The Cherry Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast in Woodstock, Illinois before thanks to the movie Groundhog Day starring Bill Murray.

The Cherry Tree Inn is a beautifully maintained late 1800s Victorian house, so it's no surprise that movie producers and directors consistently choose to film scenes there, just like the Exes of Christmas Past.

Exes of Christmas Past stars Brittany Underwood and Alex Trumble, and here is what the movie is about:

Josie, a hotel manager returns home to help her parents' B&B prep for the Christmas Crawl. Surprised to find three old high school exes staying there, Josie rediscovers her feelings for one of them and chooses to take over the B&B, embracing love, family, and a fresh start.

The movie was officially released on November 1, 2025, and one Rotten Tomatoes reviewer said:

Absolutely the most fun I've ever had with a Christmas movie.

Sounds like we all need to watch it!

Exes of Christmas Past is available to stream for free now on Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Tubi, Vizio, and Xumo Play. I have to go pop some popcorn and put on my Christmas jammies now.
