More Upgrades Coming To Rockford’s Airport
More changes are coming to Chicago Rockford International Airport even after the state provided $14 million in funds. According to WREX, a bigger terminal and more aircraft parking are in the near future.
Sen. Dick Durbin, Sen. Tammy Duckworth and Rep. Cheri Bustos announce a $3.2 million grant will go toward the airport in Rockford.
$2 million will go toward expanding the terminal building. The other $1.2 million will expand the cargo apron and provide more parking for aircraft.
And it's about time, the size of the airport really sets in from an aerial perspective.
