Meijer Distilled Water Recall

I don't know about your home, but my home always seems to be out of distilled water when we need it, even though I try to buy a couple gallons of it nearly every time I go to the store.

We use distilled water for so many things in our home, from my husband's CPAP machine to our fish tank, and if I spotted floating black things coming out of the jug, I would definitely be concerned.

If you purchased gallon jugs of Meijer-brand distilled water between November 2025 and now, check the contents of those jugs carefully and immediately!

WGN reports, more than 38,000 gallons of Meijer-brand distilled water have been voluntarily recalled after a "black foreign substance" was found floating inside some of the bottles.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration report does not state what the "black foreign substance" is, nor did they issue a health risk classification for the recall, but black things floating in water is generally never a good thing.
