Well it's the new year and time for new things, even at McDonald's.

You'll never guess what item they are testing out to possibly add to their menu nationwide....

Macaroni and Cheese. Yep that ooey gooey goodness that most kids will eat at any restaurant they go to.

NBC Chicago reports that "the chain has confirmed they're testing mac and cheese at certain restaurants in the northeast Ohio area."

Phil Saken, the communications manager for the Ohio region McDonald's said that “We’re always looking for new ways to offer relevant tastes to our customers, so we’re giving that it a try and gathering valuable feedback from our customers."

The four ounce mac and cheese is selling for $1.75 individually or for $3.00 in a Happy Meal as an entrée option.

At this time it isn't clear if or when it will be offered nationwide as the product is still in the testing phase.
If it were offered here in the stateline area would you order it?
I don't know if I would. I mean when I want mac and cheese McDonald's doesn't come to mind. In fact unless it's some super fancy gourmet mac and cheese, I never order that when dining out.
I'm just wondering if the servings they're offering are like those Kraft microwaveable mac and cheese bowls? if so, I'd definitely skip ever attempting to order that at McDonald's. Yuck. those are nasty and they boil over (even when dutifully watching them cook) and taste like paste.
