‘Masks Don’t Work’ Theory Debunked by Rockford Hospital
Can I be brutally honest with your again for a moment?
I've about hit my limit with all the arguing and conspiracy theories surrounding wearing face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each side of the argument has valid points, but the nastiness people are demonstrating while voicing their opinions is beyond uncalled for.
The angry messages Q98.5 receives daily about the subject are actually quite laughable, but I, for one, am OVER it.
That is not the point of this article, though. The scientific proof behind the effectiveness of face masks is.
I recently came across this tweet from a Clinical Microbiology Lab Director named Rich Davis that was pretty eye-opening to me:
Then I saw that 23 WIFR had teamed up with Medical lab Scientists at SwedishAmerican to test the same debate, and when they revealed similar results, I'm wondering how people can still claim scientific results are part of political agendas? (See the official test results, here.)
I truly am not trying to shame the people that argue against wearing face masks, you do you... BUT...I absolutely have a problem with people who seem unable to keep their opinions educated and considerate. There is no need to be nasty to one another, even when they have different beliefs than you. Just be nice and respectful to one another...what harm is that going to cause?
