Major Investment Expands Chicago Headquarters
Governor JB Pritzker announced a significant economic development for Illinois as Mars Snacking revealed plans for a major expansion of its global headquarters in Illinois, adding 600 new jobs.

According to the press release, the expansions will consolidate key operations, including Mars Snacking's North America Region, Accelerator Division, and Global Functions, which further solidifies the company's footprint in Illinois.
Officials say the move by Mars Snacking signals long-term confidence in Illinois' workforce and infrastructure.
Fulton Market and Downtown Growth
Mars Snacking plans to open a new regional office hub in Chicago's Fulton Market district, designed to house more than 1,000 employees. In addition, the company will establish its Accelerator Division in a downtown office space formerly occupied by Kellanova's headquarters.
The expansion builds on Mars' already substantial footprint in the region, where it supports more than 4,000 jobs and operates a Global Innovation Center focused on research and development.
Economic Impact and Industry Positioning
State leaders point to the investment as further evidence of Illinois' growing reputation as a global hub for food manufacturing and innovation. With more than 20 well-known brands produced under Mars Snacking, the company plays a key role in the state's manufacturing economy.

According to Site Selection Magazine, Illinois ranks second nationwide for corporate expansions and relocations, marking the fourth consecutive year the state has held the position.
