A popular tourist attraction in Chicago could close down temporarily because of losing millions of dollars.

There is really a lot of fun and interesting things to do in Rockford. Especially, in the summer. Still, at times, I like to do something that I call "blowing the stink off of you." That means I take a little road trip out of town. Nothing against the Forest City,  but sometimes it needs to be done.

One of the places I like to head is Chicago. A spot I enjoy in the summer is Navy Pier. I've been going there since I was a kid. There are shops, entertainment, food, beverages, and much more. A couple of years ago, I went to an incredible Rolling Stones exhibit.

Like many fun attractions, they weren't allowed to open until recently. Missing out on a lot of business. When they finally did, there were many restrictions to follow. That caused more loss of revenue. Looks like it's finally caught up with the place, putting its future in jeopardy.

According to chicago.suntimes.com,

"Navy Pier Inc. said Monday it expects to lose $20 million this year and plans to decide by month’s end whether to close the popular tourist attraction whose business has been devastated by the coronavirus. The company 's not going out of business. Navy Pier is not going bankrupt. They’re looking at full closure, partial closure."

Another sad story that is part of the 2020 history book.
