Wisconsin Woman Goes Viral For Making Pasta And Getting Arrested

Have you ever heard the saying, "drunk people don't make good decisions"? Well, this story out of Madison, Wisconsin proves that hungry people don't make good decisions either.

Every weekday at 8:40 a.m. my partner Sweet Lenny and I host a segment called "Dueling Dummies" where we each share a story about a less-than-bright person that  did something extraordinarily stupid. Obviously, most of the stories we share end with someone getting arrested, and this story out of Madison, Wisconsin is no different.

On Tuesday, September 25, 2024 at about 10:39 p.m. the Madison Police Department were called to a home in the 400 block of South Livingston Street for reports of an intruder.

The homeowners said they arrived home around 10:30 p.m. and thought it was strange that some lights were on, then they noticed a stranger walking around inside!

If you think a burglar walking around inside a home with the lights on sounds strange, wait until you hear the rest of the story.

An article from FOX News says;

Police arrived and observed through windows a female casually walking around the interior of the home.

The female, later identified as Joanna K. Lee, came to the door in response to orders given by police.

Upon answering the door, Joanna Lee told officers she had met the homeowners earlier that day in a coffee shop, and that they have given her permission, and the keys, to get inside their home...which was obviously a huge load of BS.

(Here comes my favorite part of the story...)

Madison Police Department's incident report says;

 Lee had been in the house long enough to cook herself a shrimp and pasta dinner, and had apparently inspected mail and other items to learn the name of the resident and fabricate a story.

Joanna Lee was arrested for burglary and criminal trespass, and is now getting all her meals inside the Dane County Jail.
