Machesney Park Gets Pounded With Golf Ball Sized Hail [Photos and Video]

A swift moving thunderstorm moved through Machesney Park and Loves Park on Monday evening and left behind some unwanted huge frozen souvenirs.
At 5:43 pm the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Northern Winnebago County. Shortly after, The National Weather service issued a severe Thunderstorm Warning for Boone County until 6:45 pm.

Some damage to vehicles and residences were reported. There was a second round of strong thunderstorms that originated in eastern Iowa that moved through the Stateline between 9 pm - 11 pm late Monday evening.
