Time to get your 'Merica on ahead of flag day.

Surely you've seen intact pallets painted all pretty-like or artsy if you will. If you opt to buy one of those already-painted pallets it's probably not going to be cheap. Also, wood prices are still an arm and a leg.

Luckily for you, there's an event coming up that will only cost your time and maybe a little gas.

DIYer?

I've always wanted to paint a pallet but I have never done it. I don't know where to begin to even find an intact pallet. The rest of the steps I'd surely mess up. Do I need to sand down the wood? Does there need to be some special first coat? How the heck would I fit the pallet in my car?

I'm not the best DIY type of person but maybe you are. In the least, this could be a great experience with family or friends. The best part is it this upcoming event is free.

To be completely honest, I wasn't able to find much information about this event. I can tell you it is exactly one more before Flag Day and it's free, which you already know.

So where do you go if you want to paint something similar to this, minus the star?

The event is on May 14, 2022, from noon-6 pm, at Home Depot in Machesney Park, 1580 West Lane Road. The pallets and paint are provided and all are welcome. After you've painted yours we would love for you to email us a pic of it.
