Late in April, Q98.5 reported the sad news that that Glen Campbell, age 78, was moved to a healthcare facility as he continued to battle Alzheimer’s disease. The latest update on the Rhinestone Cowboy singer is somewhat expected but still heartbreaking.

Glen Campbell’s wife, Kim Woolen, has told People magazine that her husband is not likely to ever perform again:

“He can’t even tune a guitar now. If I tune one and hand it to him he can still play, [but] not like he used to,” Woolen told PEOPLE at the Open Hearts Foundation’s 4th Annual Gala in Malibu on Saturday. However, he can still “play a couple licks here and there, and he finds joy in that.”

Campbell is currently living in a memory-care facility near their home in Nashville looking at pictures and chatting with Woolen, who visits him every single day for hours.

God bless Glen and thank you for all the great music and memories over the years
