Police Rescue Kitten From Behind Ice Machine In Illinois
I've read stories about kittens being rescued out of trees and storm drains, but this situation in Illinois is something I've never heard of before.
Illinois Police Save Kitten From Gas Station Ice Machine
We are a cat family. Currently, we only have one for the first time in many years. I was a dog person growing up, but how can you not love a kitten? They are so adorable. As much as the little furballs are cute, they're also mischievous.

One time, we had just moved into a new place. We put our kitty into a bedroom while we were moving furniture around. Somehow, that little devil knocked the cover off the air vent and got into the ductwork. It took several hours to get her out. Recently, a kitten got itself stuck in a sticky situation in Illinois.
Local police were called to a gas station in Aurora. Apparently, there was meowing coming out of the ice machine outside. The officers figured out that a kitten was stuck behind the huge box filled with a thousand pounds of ice.

After some hard work moving all of that ice, the kitten was rescued unharmed. I've heard of kitties getting stuck in trees, but never in a gas station ice machine. By the way, most of the ice melted during the effort.
According to Fox 32 Chicago...
The kitten had gotten wedged behind a large ice machine at the Amstar gas station on Hill Avenue.
With the station clerk’s permission, officers had to move more than 1,000 pounds of ice to help free the trapped kitten.
The kitten was rescued unharmed and turned over to Aurora Animal Care and Control to be reunited with its owner or placed for adoption.
