Rockford's holiday season is coming sooner than we think!

The holiday light display at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens returns next month and runs a couple weeks into January 2027.

If you're looking for a festive way to get into the holiday spirit without spending money, this is one local event to add to your calendar!

ALL AGLOW AT NICHOLAS CONSERVATORY & GARDENS

All Aglow at the outdoor gardens will feature more than 500,000 LED lights, transforming the grounds into a sparkling holiday display.  Visitors can walk or drive through the designated one-way traffic loop while taking in the lights and decorations throughout the gardens.

If it were me, I'm driving through first, then parking and walking through the rest of the displays!  There will also be 99 trees and multiple new mega stars, adding even more sparkle to the holiday scenery.  Whether you're looking for a festive evening outing with family, a holiday date night, or an opportunity to enjoy some seasonal decorations, the display offers a free way to celebrate the season in Rockford!

And if the chilly weather has you craving something warm along the way, you can stop by the Rockford Park District's Topic Like It's Hot beverage trailer to grab a warm drink while you're visiting.  Yum!

The event is free and open to the public, too!  Donations are appreciated, making it an affordable option for families and anyone hoping to enjoy some holiday magic without paying an admission fee.

  • Outdoor lights will be on from dusk until dawn
  • Starts November 28th & runs thru January 2027
  • Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens

Again, over 500,000 lights, 99 trees, new mega stars and warm bevvies!
