Abandoned places are some of the most interesting things on the planet. And Illinois for sure has a large amount of them, including a disappointingly vandalized Garden Hotel.

To preface, I have no idea where this abandoned hotel is located in our state. I just know that it's disclosed in the video and, by the looks of the "S" word, it's gotta be in the lovely Midwest.

Abandoned buildings always make me a little angry, mainly because of the amount of usable stuff just left behind that could've been donated. Also, unused buildings that slowly decay are just a gigantic eyesore for the towns they're in. Much better things could've bought the land its on OR taken the building in to make it something new.

To me, hotels are a place where a lot of childhood memories are made. From begging Mom to let me go down to the swimming pool, to ordering food and having too much wine with my family, it's hard not to have some memories at one.
