Nothing says October is better than going to a pumpkin patch and finding that perfect pumpkin. The Sonny Acres Farm, located West of Chicago, was just named the best place to find that perfect pumpkin. Reader's Digest came out with a list of the top places for pumpkin picking and there is plenty of reasons why Sonny Acres Farm was chosen as the best for Illinois.

Tripadvisor ranks the farm high too for being the best.

You better be-leaf we’re ready for the Fall Festival 2022! Sonny Acres iconic family-friendly festival runs September 17th for a limited time through October 30th. FALL in love with our non-stop family fun fit for all ages at Sonny Acres Farm Fall Festival.

It seems pretty reasonable in price to enjoy all the fun activities its only $25 for wristbands to enjoy everything. For those of you that like things a little scarier the farm kicks off their Haunted Barn and Haunted Hayrides this weekend. Both have been voted the best-haunted experiences in Chicagoland, so if you think you are brave enough you might want to try them out. For me, I will stick to daylight and family-fun activities. I know I am a scaredy cat I just can't help it I hate being scared.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
