Illinois Ranks First in the Nation in Animal Protection Laws
Every state has laws that protect animals, none protect animals better than the state of Illinois. And in 2019, animal protections laws keep improving.
Illinois pooches, kitties and more, are pretty safe and sound in the Land of Lincoln. Illinois, for the 11th year in a row, ranks number one when it comes to animal protection laws, according to wifr.com. Kentucky, for the 12th straight year, is at the bottom of the list.
The U.S. Animal Protection Laws Rankings were given based on criteria of felony penalties like cruelty, neglect, fighting and sexual assault.
