Why Is This Weird Pyramid in One Wisconsin Park?

Many Wisconsin residents have never seen the weird pyramid that stands within Madison's Hoyt Park, and rumors have circulated for years about how old it is and where it came from.

I have been on a roll finding weird things about Wisconsin lately, and today's discovery involves a concrete pyramid hiding in one of the state's most popular cities.

I recently saw this picture posted on BadgerlandLegends' Facebook, and I couldn't help but wonder, "what the heck is that?!?"

Apparently, this odd pyramid can be found in the woods of Hoyt Park in Madison, Wisconsin, but many people have never seen it and don't realize it is there.

BadgerlandLegend's post says;

The Hoyt Park Pyramid has been the subject of much speculation.

Was it left there by an ancient civilization, perhaps the Moundbuilders? Was it aliens?

The People Responsible for Hoyt Park's Pyramid

While on a search for some answers, I came across an article from 2019 from Channel3000 in Madison that provided what might be the only real answer; that the pyramid was created by staff and students at Preschool of the Arts, a school that used to be located near Hoyt Park.

The article says the pyramid was made sometime between 1971 and 1982 and;

the custodian at the time, Doug Parks, worked with the children and the teachers to create the pyramid.

This pyramid was meant be a secret adventure spot for the children at the school, and there is no signs explaining what it is or how to find it.

What about all those faces in the pyramid? They are likely the images of the children who helped create the pyramid. If only we could see what they look like today!
