Saturday, May 4, 2019 is the BISSELL Pet Foundation's National Clear the Shelters Event, and three Rockford animal shelters have been chosen as participants.

If you've been thinking about adding a furry member to your family mark it on your to-do's now to be at either Winnebago County Animals Services, PAWS Humane Society or Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in Rockford on Saturday May 4th so you don't miss the opportunity to adopt a pet for just $25.

According to the BISSELL Pet Foundation's press release:

Pet lovers in Illinois will have the opportunity to adopt a pet for $25 with BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsoring the remaining cost on Saturday, May 4. To encourage adoption and relieve overcrowded shelters, the Michigan-based nonprofit will celebrate National Pet Month with its first Empty the Shelters event of 2019 at 110 participating shelters in 20 states and in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Canada.

Pre-approval to adopt a pet may be required, so you may want to get ahead of the process now by checking out each of the three shelter's websites at: wcasrock.org; pawshs.org or noahsarkanimals.org.
