Heart Warming Welcome For Fallen Indiana Officer’s Son

One thing that makes me proud to be American is the fact that we never leave our own behind. A belief embedded into the fabric of the American flag that many nations don't understand. It started with our military but it ends with every single America citizen.

We look out for our own, and you can see it here in it's most beautiful form.

"It's been almost two weeks since Terre Haute officer Rob Pitts was shot and killed in the line of duty. The community has shown his family an outpouring of support, and it continued on Monday when Pitts’ 5-year-old son Dakota returned to school," WTHI reports.

It's unfortunate that it takes something tragic to bring us together these days but it's still a wonderful scene when it happens.

Thoughts and prayers go to Dakota, his mother, and the rest of their family and friends affected by this tragic event.
