It may still be summer, but my heart is in full-on Fall mode. I bring that up only because, when I first saw today's pet of the week's name was Casper, I automatically thought of Casper the Friendly Ghost.

Today's Casper is a friendly cat who is about two years old, and was recently "ghosted" by a previous family. Amber Pinnon, Adoption and Volunteer Program Coordinator at Winnebago County Animal Services, had this to say about Casper;

Prepare to fall in love!  This handsome hunk is all about cuddles and you'll usually find him nearby. He might even let out a meow to say hello. Casper was found as a stray and brought in to WCAS by a kind citizen. We estimate him to be about 2 years old.  Casper would love to show you what an affectionate companion he is, so if you're interested in adopting, please visit him at WCAS!

Casper's adoption fee is $40, if you adopt him today, but if you want to take the chance on waiting until this Saturday, August 29th, to adopt him, his fee would be waived. Here's why;

Whether you wait to adopt a new furry family member this Saturday, or you do it today, filling out an adoption application before you head to shelter is best. Do that now, heremake sure to give Casper a kiss from us.
