Why Everyone’s Talking About the Green Bay Packers’ New Unexpected Movie Role

A new movie starring Craig T. Nelson called 'Green and Gold' is hitting theaters on January 31, 2025, and yes, the Green Bay Packers play a pivotal role in the film.

The New Green Bay Packers Movie

As a lifelong Illinois resident and daughter of a Chicago Bears fan, I was raised to hate the Green Bay Packers, but it is not something I excel at.

Firstly, I'm not much a sports girl and I actively try to avoid watching football on TV.

Secondly, the Packers tend to win way more games than the Bears, so it's often difficult to remain loyal.

All that being said, as I perusing the Strange Wisconsin Facebook group the other day I saw a post that said; "Are you excited about the new Green Bay Packer movie "Green and Gold”?

When the Bears fan in me first saw that comment I immediately thought, "there's no way this movie is truly about the Green Bay Packers, right?!?"

Then I watched the movie trailer and discovered I was wrong...kinda.

Is 'Green and Gold' primarily about the Green Bay Packers? No, it's about the daily struggles of a family farmer, and for that reason alone I think even die-hard Chicago Bears fans will love this movie too.

Culver's Involvement With 'Green and Gold' Movie

I have a huge appreciation for farmers and the hard work they do each and every day, so I was happy to see that Culver's and their 'Thank You Farmers Project' played a big part in making this movie happen. Culver's website says;
