Yes the positivity rate is at 17.6% and the numbers continue to grow, but Governor J.B. Pritzker had some nice things to say about us in Region 1.

Governor Pritzker said that because we are in this corner of the state, near Iowa and Wisconsin...THAT is the problem.

 "The City of Rockford has done a better job, I want to say, than some of the surrounding areas, people outside Rockford are less likely to wear a mask."  Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

While our current numbers during the pandemic aren't worth celebrating, the fact that the governor isn't pointing a finger at us is good...right? For a while now it has seemed like Rockford and all of Region 1 was bad, just bad. As the governor prepares to speak, I'm always thinking, "What negativity is going to come at us today?" Let's see if we can continue as a city, and region to do what is right on our end and hopefully see these numbers start to drop.

Both Iowa and Wisconsin reported over 4000 new cases on Monday. With people traveling for work, to and from the Forrest City...what can we do? I do not see an Iowa border wall going up anytime soon.
