In Geneva, Illinois, a strange man showed up at a family's house at 2am because ghosts sent him.

I don't answer my door for unknown people. If a random person showed up to my house in the middle of the night, that would freak me out.

According to abc7chicago.com,

"A family in Geneva discovered a man on their porch in the early hours of Nov. 15 who claimed to have been sent to the home by ghosts, according to police reports."

A child that lived at the home, heard a noise and saw the shadow of someone at the front door. He woke his dad to check out the situation.

The father found the man on the front porch holding the mail. When he asked the uninvited guest what he was doing, he simply replied, "the ghosts sent me."

When the homeowner asked the person to leave, he just repeated himself, "the ghosts sent me." After a few times, the strange guest put down the mail and stumbled off.

Police were able to track him down. When they found him, he didn't know how to get home. The officer searched him and found a baggy of Vicodin, which he called his snacks, and a roll of duct tape.

The suspect explained he had been drinking many alcoholic beverages in several locations.

Well, that explains it.
