Garth Brooks Is Bringing His Iconic 90s Arena Experience Back to Chicago

If you heard a loud scream coming from Northern Illinois this morning, don't worry...it was probably just me finding out that Garth Brooks is FINALLY coming back to Allstate Arena this September!

I have loved Garth Brooks ever since he took Country music by storm in the '90s. In fact, Garth is the reason I started listening to country music, and I listened to my No Fences and Ropin' the Wind cassette tapes so much I completely wore it out. 

Since Garth Brooks returned to touring in 2014, I have been fortunate enough to see him play several times live, but I have one major regret when it comes to my Garth fandom: I never saw him live in the 90s.

Thankfully, the next best thing is coming to Chicago this September, and I am SOOO excited!

Garth Brooks Announces New Tour Stop in Chicago

When Garth Brooks announced the new "Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour" a few months ago, my first thought was: "When is it coming to Chicago?!"

My answer finally came this morning:

Friends, I always tell anyone who will listen that NO ONE puts on a concert like Garth Brooks. The energy, the storytelling, the crowd singing every word...it's more than a concert, it's an experience.

So, hearing that he's returning to the same arena where he launched his massive 2014 comeback tour almost exactly 12 years to the day has me counting down the days already.

What makes this tour so special is that it isn't just another greatest hits run... it's our chance to relive the past, or in my case, finally fix my biggest Garth regret.

Garth's "Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour"

The "Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour" is a throwback to the arena shows that made him a superstar in the 1990s.

He's bringing back the legendary drum pod that floated over the audience and recreating the larger-than-life production that fans have been begging to see again. Every performance is also being recorded for a future live album, meaning the crowd will become part of Garth Brooks history every single night.

Quite simply, if you missed your chance to experience Garth in the 90s, this is your do-over.

Tickets to see Garth Brooks on September 11 and 12, 2026 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago go on sale Friday, August 7, 2026 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com, and I promise you they will NOT last long.

Needless to say, I'll be refreshing my browser often the second tickets go on sale.
