Fright Fest Returns to Six Flags Great America This Weekend

With Fall basically here, Six Flags is kicking off its annual Fright Fest for the season.

This will be the 29th season of Fright Fest, which runs for eight straight weekends and select weekdays. If you've never been to Fright Fest, here's a taste of what it's like -

Its basically everything you love about Fall/Halloween and Six Flags combined into one awesome event.  Here are just some of the events coming to this year's fest according to WREX and Six Flags website -

• "Rest in Terror" AKA the 30 hour coffin challenge returns this year
• A Marathon of Coasters - Six Flags is teaming up with Special Olympics of Illinois to do the Coaster Challenge on September 21
• Scare zones
• Spooky shows
• Haunted houses and other various haunted attractions
• Themed rides
