How do I say this calmly?

PLEASE MAKE SURE AFTER YOU USE YOUR MASKS AND GLOVES IN PUBLIC YOU DISPOSE OF THEM PROPERLY AND DO NOT THROW THEM ON THE GROUND.

Did I do okay? I'm just so sick of seeing PPE equipment all over the ground EVERYWHERE I go. And apparently I'm not the only one concerned.

When PPE is discarded in public, it ends up clogging drains and washing into the ocean, which can affect marine wildlife. One environmental group in Hawaii is seeing more and more PPE products wash up onto the shore.

Sustainable Coastlines Executive Director Rafael Bergstrom explains -

I walked along the Ala Wai last week and saw gloves and masks in and around the canal, and the mouth of it at Magic Island.

So please, throw out your stuff properly. And I totally encourage you to grab PPE products you see on the ground (safely of course). Together we can keep the world clean, we just have to put in a little more effort.
