Look, I get it. There are very large numbers of people here in Illinois, and the whole country, who are really, really tired of wearing a mask. It's completely understandable. What isn't quite so understandable is deciding the best way to show your displeasure is by throwing bricks at store windows.
At this writing, there are 5 states and a couple of territories that continue to observe a mask mandate. Based on comments made by Illinois Department of Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Illinois will be keeping our mask mandate up to and beyond Thanksgiving.
Chicago's indoor mask mandate officially came back into effect this (Friday) morning, and that means residents age two or older must wear masks inside bars and restaurants, stores, theaters, health clubs, and other indoor spaces, whether you've been vaccinated or not.
When the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) says that it is fully adopting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) new masking guidelines, it's a pretty safe bet that others will follow suit.
