This summer marks the 70th Anniversary of the Ending World War II.

This Friday you're invited to celebrate it for free at Midway Village Museum.

WREX reports, that tomorrow from 1pm - 4pm at Midway Village Museum (6799 Guilford Road, in Rockford), Heartland Hospice invites the public to celebrate "Keep the Spirit of '45 Alive!" for the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.

This free includes swing music, dancers, refreshments, local re-enactors, photos from the war and memorabilia.

How cool. I wish I weren't working because I would really like to see this. I love history, especially the W.W.II ear. I can't go but you certainly can.

If you're kids haven't started back to school yet, this would be a perfect outing to take them to. Learn more about our American History and taking pride in our country and honoring the soldiers who fought valiantly to keep us, our nation and others safe. If you home school this event would work perfect for not only a history lessons but also a n interesting and informational field trip that's not only close to home but free.
