Former Blackhawks Player Drowned

This is such sad news. Former Blackhawks player who helped the "hawks" win their 2013 Stanley Cup drowned on Sunday.

WGN shared the sad news that former Blackhawks goalie,#30, Ray Emery drowned on Sunday. Police say there is nothing suspicious about his death.

Sunday morning 35 year Ray "jumped off a boat near the Leander Boat Club to go swimming, and friends called emergency services at about 6 a.m. when he didn’t resurface."

His body was located yesterday afternoon around 2:50 pm "about 20 yards from where he went into the water... first responders were not able to locate Emery right away so they called the dive unit."

That's so sad. He was so young to just be gone just like that.

The Blackhawks are mourning their loss of a great goalie too.

RIP Ray Emery.
