There is a Chicago Cubs versus Chicago White Sox prospects game in Schaumburg and fans are invited to attend.

I love going to Rockford IceHogs games. Since I am a big Chicago Blackhawks fan, I get to see their stars of the future. There have been so many Hawks stars through the years that got their start in the Forest City. Plus, it is a lot more affordable for tickets, parking, food, beverages, and merchandise. It is more convenient to go downtown Rockford instead of into Chicago.

Last year, all the fans of Major League baseball missed out on seeing their favorite teams live in person. It did not matter if you were a season ticket holder, an once a year fan, or anything in-between. It still sucked not being able to check it out. That was true for even the minor league teams too.

This year, fans are allowed on a limited number. I believe many will be wanting a chance to attend a game this year. There is a special opportunity for supporters of both Chicago teams to see the up-and-coming players. Almost like an IceHogs situation.

According to dailyherald.com,

"A limited number of fans will be permitted at Wintrust Field in Schaumburg when White Sox and Cubs minor leaguers face off in a trio of exhibition games later this month. Fan attendance protocols were approved by both Major League Baseball and the Village of Schaumburg. They include limiting attendance to 20.7% of the Wintrust Field capacity, socially distanced sets of seats, face masks required when not eating or drinking, enhanced cleaning protocols, only digital tickets, and food and beverage by in-seat delivery app only."

The games will be played on April 24th, 28th, and 30th.

Driving to Schaumburg is much easier than going all the way into the city.
