Soldier Field will be empty to start the 2020 season.

The Bears released this statement late Monday afternoon, announcing their intentions concerning fans at Bear games for the 2020 season.

They did leave it open to change:

The team and City will continue to monitor the environment and believe there can be a sound plan in place to bring fans back to Soldier Field once it is deemed safe and appropiate. Until then, Bears home games will not include in-person fans.

Green Bay announced earlier this year that the Packers will have no fans for at least the first two home games and then may allow between 10,000-12,000 fans into Lambeau.

The other 2 NFC North teams, the Lions and Vikings, have not announced fan policy for this year other than if fans are allowed, it will be at extremely limited capacity.
