New Proposal Could Keep Chicago Bears at Soldier Field
One of the biggest movies in theaters right now is Project Hail Mary.
So why not a Hail Mary in real life for the Chicago Bears?
Have you heard? An architect is pitching a plan to keep the Bears in Soldier Field.
Architect Proposes Dome Over Soldier Field
The idea is to cover it, as in Soldier Field, like putting a dome over the top.
The architect’s name, Edward Peck, says Soldier Field doesn’t need to be rebuilt, and the Bears don’t need to move, but what he proposes is to put a “suspended dome canopy” over the stadium.

How a Dome Could Transform Soldier Field
Peck believes this move will make Soldier Field a hotspot for more than just Bears games, like the Final Four, Super Bowl, and other massive events.
He also pitched the idea of adding more seats and a surrounding entertainment district, and while at first it does seem a bit silly, it would be a little bit cheaper for the Bears.
Estimated Cost of the Soldier Field Dome Project
The cost would be around $700 to $1 billion to construct, and while that seems like a whole lotta money, its still cheaper than a full-on rebuild.

Could the Bears Stay in Chicago After All?
So to recap, Bears don’t need to move; they should just stay at Soldier Field and hire someone to put a cap on the place.
Will it happen? Hard to say, but in a world where Project Hail Mary rules, you might as well give it a shot.
