
Bears Add Warming Centers as Brutal Cold Hits Soldier Field
The Chicago Bears are hosting the Cleveland Browns this weekend at Soldier Field, and it's going to be really cold. It'll be so cold; it's on pace to be the 11th-coldest game played on the lake in team history.
Soldier Field Adds Warming Centers as Wind Chills Drop Below Zero
With wind chills dropping temperatures below zero, the Bears announced they are putting in warming centers throughout the stadium in multiple sections. Either I've been ignorant of this my entire life, or this is the first time I have ever heard the team do something like this. Regardless, it's a cool move because Soldier Field in December or January (if you're lucky) can be brutally cold.

Fans Can Wear Battery Heated Clothing but Expect Extra Security
Better yet, fans will also be allowed to wear clothing with battery-operated heating elements, allowing them to stay warm as long as those batteries don't die. Don't forget, though, if you do choose to wear that stuff, you will be subjected to additional security, so get there early.

Per usual, things like hot chocolate, cider, and coffee can be purchased to help stay warm while at Soldier Field, too.
If you're headed to see the Bears this weekend, it should be fun. You're off to watch one of the most fun Bears teams in quite some time. Hot or cold, it'll be worth it.
