As the Blackhawks get ready to enter the playoffs, say goodbye to Chicago Blackhawk's defenseman Duncan Keith for a while.

Keith was involved in a high-sticking incident against Minnesota Wild forward Charlie Coyle earlier this week.

The six game suspension will cover the rest of the 2016 regular season and one playoff game. The NHL said:

This is an intentional and retaliatory act of violence by a player with a history of using his stick as a weapon.

The NHL has released a detailed video explaining the suspension which can be viewed here.

Video of the incident can be seen below

The Chicago Blackhawks will have a tough time with Keith on their roster.
