Dangerous Easter Toy Sold In Rockford Recalled
If you bought any Easter toys from Target you may want to double check to see if you grabbed this hazardous toy.
A popular children's toy, "Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs" available at Target stores nationwide, have been recalled because of what could happen if ingested. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported the danger of swallowing these toys that grow when wet. Making it even more hazardous, the toy could go undetected by physicians if swallowed.
If the small toy is ingested, it can expand inside a child's body and cause intestinal obstructions, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and could be life threatening. Surgery is required to remove the toy from the body, if ingested. Medical professionals and parents should be aware that there is a possibility that the toys might not show up on an x-ray.
The toy can be returned to any Target store for a full refund, according to CPSC.
