When you're moving that much product, mistakes happen. That might be why Costco is recalling caramel-filled mini beignets because of a label mix-up.

When You Move This Much Product, Mistakes Happen
Some of the packages were accidentally filled with chocolate-hazelnut beignets, but tree nuts were not listed on the label. While it may sound like a delicious surprise, it poses a serious risk of allergic reaction, especially for those with hazelnut or tree-nut allergies.
The mislabeled beignets were sold in 23 different states, including Illinois, between January 16 and January 30. If you think you still have them in your pantry or cabinet, look for item #1181272.
What Went Wrong With the Beignet Labels
Costco is asking for customers to return the beignets for a full refund. If you have further questions, Costco is urging shoppers to call customer service.

What Costco Wants Customers to Do Next
At this moment, there have been no injuries reported, but officials warn that adverse nut allergy reactions could be severe and/or life-threatening.
