There's been chatter about bankruptcy being the reason CherryVale Mall could lose two additional stores, and now it's been confirmed.

Last month we told you Gymboree was having problems and might be headed toward bankruptcy. The company had filed for bankruptcy just two years ago and closed more than 350 stores in order to stay in business. Unfortunately, it's the end of the road for them.

Our friends at mystateline.com not only backed up our story but also added the salt to the wound. The continued problem for the kids-clothing store will lead to two stores leaving the mall. Both Gymboree and Crazy 8 have begun store closing sales.

“This store closing sale event offers customers an opportunity to buy the most essential children’s clothing items and accessories for a great price. We encourage loyal shoppers and parents to visit their nearest Gymboree and Crazy 8 stores to take advantage of these deals before merchandise sells out,” said a representative said.

Which national chain will be putting up "going out of business" sale signs inside CherryVale Mall next? Time will only tell.
