September must be the month of fun and free admission.

First, it was the Shedd Aquarium and now the Museum of Science and Industry has joined in.

They're letting you in at no charge all month.

Except there's a catch you have to be an Illinois resident (showing proof that you are) and it's only free on the weekdays.

DNAInfo Chicagoshares that the museum is granting free admission to all Illinois residents on the weekdays going on now through September 29th.

The free entry doesn't include the special exhibits or Omnimax movies those are still at regular charge.

BUT.... not having to pay an entrance fee gives you a few more dollars to purchase tickets for the other fun exhibits and those awesome movies.

Start making your fun field trip plans now.

You can make a day of it going to the Museum of Science and Industry and then head over to the Shedd Aquarium.

How fun. I'd be up for that. It's been about 2 years, or wait, no three years since I've been to either place.
