Chicago residents are wondering what happened to a portion of the Chicago River that suddenly turned turquoise.

Some described the color of the river as turquoise, while others described it as teal. By Sunday night, the color of the river was back to normal. So what was the problem?

You can start by blaming the rain that was received on Saturday.  According to a report in the Sun-Times, water department spokeswoman Megan Vidis said the discoloration was cause by "a combination of the storm, seasonal vegetation changes and other naturally occurring circumstances."

Nevertheless, it looked cool while it lasted.
