Changes in Machesney Park, BBQ's Out and Eggs are In

Some changes are coming to Machesney Park. Particularly in the location of 8660 N. Second Street.

Big Papa's BBQ is out and Eggpress is in.

The Rockford Register Star reports that the former home of Big Papa's BBQ is being renovated into the new restaurant, the Eggpress.

Here's what each restaurant posted on their Facebook pages about the change.

Thank you all for your support the last few years. Unfortunately, Big Papas will no longer reside at our 8660 N.2nd St....

Wow! That was a fast turn around.

I'm sorry to see Big Papa's leaving, but I' happy to know that they are looking for a permanent location and in the meantime they will still be out and about in the community with their fabulous and tasty BBQ.

I remember stopping at their food truck in their early beginnings on North Second Street before they moved into the former Tom and Jerry's out front of the Machesney Park Mall.

I can't wait to see what's in store them next.

And for the new restaurant, Eggpress, good luck, I wish you well in your new en-devour.
