Brad Paisley says he won't be revealing the sex of Carrie Underwood's second child at the 2018 CMA Awards -- because she hasn't told him whether it's a boy or a girl. In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Underwood says that she learned her lesson a few years ago.

Back in 2014, when Underwood was pregnant with her first child, Isaiah, Paisley revealed that the baby would be a boy during their CMA Awards opening monologue. Paisley later shared that, of course, his slip of the tongue had been carefully planned out -- but that he did not know the baby's sex until the very last minute. This time around, however, Underwood says that's not the plan.

"I think she's taking great pains to ...," Paisley tells the GMA audience when asked if the 2018 CMA Awards will include another surprise reveal, before Underwood interjects, "I'm not telling Brad!"

"I mean, 'cause right now, I'm so in the dark," Paisley adds. "She knows better. I'll blow it again."

Despite some prodding from GMA hosts Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts, Underwood stayed tight-lipped about Baby No. 2's sex. Underwood first revealed that she and husband Mike Fisher would be expanding their family in early August; in mid-September, the country superstar shared that she suffered three miscarriages prior to this pregnancy.

The 2018 CMA Awards are scheduled to air on ABC on Nov. 14, at 8PM ET; the ceremony will take place live at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Paisley and Underwood will host the ceremony for the 11th year in a row.
