The Byron staple says they will temporarily close after an incident this past weekend.

Homecoming weekend wasn't so great for Byron's Sam's Drive-In, in fact, it's left the business closed for now.

In a post on Facebook, the diner shared this...

Due to being burglarized our diner we will be closed until further notice. Please check back for updates or call 815-234-8281. We will also try to post update notices on the doors. 😔

Byron is a small town and word travels quickly so hopefully the person(s) responsible for the burglary are caught and charged.
