Mmmmm....butter....mmmmmm....cow. Yes the 'Butter Cow' is now in place at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

It's back, the famous Illinois State Fair butter cow. On Thursday fair officials and sculptor Sharon BuMann unveiled an incomplete version of the 2015 butter cow. It's expected to be finished early next week.

Did you know the butter cow has been part of the Illinois State Fair for more than 90 years?

According to the Rockford Register Star the famous butter cow is featured in a different setting every year. This year's tasty sculpture will show a grandfather showing his granddaughter a farm. BuMann says she gets her inspiration from her family farm.
