Fall is my favorite time of the year and I always try to soak up every event the season has to offer. Of all the fall events I have gone to over the years there is one thing I have never done; attempting to make it through a massive corn maze. (Probably because my sense of direction is TERRIBLE).

Illinois may be the pumpkin capital of the World, but it is also the land of corn, and that means we have a bunch of great corn maze options to check out each year. Onlyinyourstate.com has a list of 9 great corn mazes located throughout Illinois to check out, but I'm assuming most of us don't want to travel far to find some corn maze fun.

Here are 4 great options that are less than an hour away from the Rockford area:

1. All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock, Illinois - All Seasons Orchard has already opened for the season and has everything you need for a great fall day; apples, donuts, farm animals, activities for the whole family, shopping, delicious food, and one MASSIVE corn maze.

2. Jonamac Orchard in Malta, Illinois - Not only does Jonamac Orchard have a huge corn maze to get lost in during the day, but they also feature flashlight mazes on select nights throughout the season where their cider barn stays open late too. Jonamac also hosts haunted mazes during the month of October. 3. Goebbert's Farm in Pingree Grove, Illinois (Near Hampshire) - This orchard has a TON of fun things for the family to do including a straw maze, pumpkin slide, pumpkin train, food, shopping, play area, pumpkin cannon, a Western Town, jumping pillows, a beer bin, and they even a pumpkin eating dinosaur!

4. Richardson Farm in Spring Grove, Illinois - Billed the "World's Largest Corn Maze", Richardson's maze is 9-10 miles of trails spanning 28 acres of corn! Here's the maze design for 2022...
