Fall in Wisconsin is a magical time, and what better way to experience it than by visiting one of the state's best apple orchards?

Apple Orchard Season is Here

The calendar may not yet say it's fall, but the best sights and tastes of fall are starting to appear everywhere you look:

  • Trees are beginning to turn colors.
  • Starbucks just brought back its beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte.
  • Popular apple orchards have opened for the fall season.
  • Fall decorations and goodies line the shelves of almost any store you go into.

As a lifelong of Illinois I can tell you firsthand that fall in this state is pretty darn amazing, but I can totally appreciate the desire to experience new fall adventures North of the border as well.

If you already have a trip planned to Wisconsin this fall, here are three Wisconsin orchards that are definitely worthy of a spot on your must-visit list.

Wisconsin's Best Apple Orchards

My family will be heading to Wisconsin in a few weeks and we want to check out some cool fall attractions while we're up there. While searching for the best apple orchards in Wisconsin I came across an article from Travel Wisconsin that highlighted great apple orchards to check out in the fall.

While all 7 of the orchards Travel Wisconsin listed sound fun and unique, here are the three I'm pretty sure my family will be checking out first...

1. The Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago, WI - Yes, this apple orchard has fun activities for the entire family like pick-your-own pumpkins and apples, a corn maze, hayrides and ponyrides, but what really got my attention was there award-winning apple pie baked in a paper bag. YUM!

2. Apple Holler Family Farm in Sturtevant, Wisconsin - This farm is open year round for different events, but it's really hopping in the fall. The farm has everything a family needs to enjoy a fun fall fay; pick-your-own pumpkins and apples, barn animals, corn mazes, and fun activities for the kids, BUT they have a hard cider and biergarten too!

3. Ferguson's Orchards - Eau Claire and Galesville, Wisconsin -  These family owned farms take the  fun way past apple, pumpkins, and donuts. They also feature unique attractions like apple cannons, giant spinning apple rides, hay pyramids and more. Your kids will love it!
