Baby with Rockford Ties Has Died After She Was Dropped at Daycare

A GoFundMe has been set up for a former Rochelle family after their 5-month-old baby died from injuries sustained at daycare.

This is so tragic. The Eklund family from Le Claire, Iowa (formerly of Rochelle, Illinois) is grieving the loss of baby Spencer after she was dropped at daycare in Iowa, hitting her head.

According to a source close to the family, Baby Spencer was dropped on her head by a daycare worker, who did not call 911. Instead, she put her down for a nap. The fall caused a crack in the baby's skull. The worker did admit to dropping the baby and an investigation is ongoing.

A GoFundMe has been set up to cover funeral and medical expenses and FMLA time.
