Man, I really hate when things leave and I never get to say goodbye.

It has been years since I took someone down with a laser at Laser Quest in Rockford, but my kids are just getting to the age where they would have LOVED going there.

I say "would" because as of this week, Laser Quest in no longer an option for family fun in Rockford. (Damn you, COVID-19!)

It's not just Rockford that is losing out on the laser tag fun, Laser Quest made the sad announcement of their nationwide closures on Facebook Tuesday which said in part;

As much as we wanted to re-open all of our North American locations, the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting uncertain climate have made the continued operation of  many locations next to impossible.

The post goes on to say some of their centers will be reopening in the future, but I'm pretty sure Rockford is not on that list. Laser Quest Rockford posted a similar message on their Facebook, but the difference is the "farewell" part...

If you're really into playing laser tag, don't forget that both Volcano Falls and the new Tilt Studio at the CherryVale Mall feature laser tag arenas, BUT, they might not be operating right now thanks to stupid, ole COVID-19.
